IMPORTANT : : Migration Status Update - PLEASE READ

Tuesday 2nd June 2015

Dear Customers,

Firstly, we would like to thank you for your patience and understanding while we completed the migration. The migration from the Older Freeparking System to the New System was completed on 25th May 2015. However, we discovered a few unexpected glitches caused by unforeseen scenarios. Most of the issues have been fixed and you should experience a more seamless service going forward. We have listed below the main issues which customers are facing. Please take the time to read through these as the answer to your problem may be listed here :

1. Issues logging into your Control Panel:

The old Freeparking System asked for a username for logging into the maintenance section of the website. This means that you could operate many different accounts with the same email address. However, the new system uses the email address as the login, which means that someone with many accounts with Freeparking using the same email address, now only has one account. We have therefore had to consolidate these accounts into one account.

e.g. Take the example of Mr Smith, he has five customer accounts with freeparking...

username "smithmain" emailaddress "[email protected]"

username "smithcust" emailaddress "[email protected]"

username "smithcust1" emailaddress "[email protected]"

username "smithcust2" emailaddress "[email protected]"

username "smithcust3" emailaddress "[email protected]"

With the new system he can only have one customer account and logs in with the email address "[email protected]".

Therefore we have consolidated all the domains from smithmain, smithcust, smithcust1, etc into the single "[email protected]" customer account.

If you are a Customer based out of UK, you can use the below Login URL :

http://manage.freeparking.co.uk/customer

Customers from the rest of the world can use :

http://manage.freeparking.com/customer

You will need to login using your Email Address and NOT the username that you used on the old Freeparking system.

PLEASE NOTE: If you do not remember the email address used on your old Freparking system or you no longer have access to it, please go to http://support.freeparking.co.uk where you can submit a support ticket. Please use an alternative email if you are still having issues with your email address with Freeparking. That way you will receive our reply to your ticket.

Once you visit the relevant URL mentioned above depending on your location, you need to enter your Freeparking email address and existing Freeparking password. It will log you into your Domain Management Control Panel. Then, you need to follow the steps below to manage your domains:

Manage Order >> List/Search Orders >> Click on the domain name you want to manage

This will take you to the Order Overview page where you can perform various domain management options.

You can also login by visiting the 'http://freeparking.co.uk/' and 'http://freeparking.com/' websites. You need to follow the steps below:

i. Click on the 'Login / Sign up' link at the top right of the website.

ii. You need to enter your Freeparking Email address and existing Freeparking password >> Sign In >> You will be redirected back to the Freeparking website

iii. Click on your name at the top right of the website >> Click on My Account >> You will be redirected to the Control Panel.

Thereafter you need to follow the below steps to manage your domains :

Manage Order >> List/Search Orders >> Click on the domain name you want to manage

This will take you to the Order Overview page where you can perform various domain management options.

2. Older Emails will be restored.

All email accounts have been migrated as part of the overall migration process. However, the contents of each mailbox will not be migrated immediately. The old and new mailboxes will be synchronised over the next few days, which means when you log into your mailbox at first, your old emails will not appear. Over a few days your old emails will start to appear. However, you will be able to send and receive mails without any issues.

3. Email configurations.

We have also noticed that there is some confusion when it comes to email settings and so we have included a detailed set-up guide here

A. You can access your emails via the web by using the below details:

- Login URL : webmail.<your-domain-name>(In case this does not resolve you can use 'http://us3.webmail.mailhostbox.com')

- Username : Same as the Older System

- Password : Same as the Older System

B. You can also configure your emails on a Desktop email client:

Please refer to this link to see how to do so:

Other settings you would need are:

POP: pop.<your-domain-name>, PORT : 110 (In case you wish to download mails on your local machine)

IMAP: imap.<your-domain-name>, PORT : 143 (In case you wish to leave a Copy on the server)

Sending(Outgoing) Server :

SMTP: smtp.<your-domain-name>, PORT : 587

4. Domain Forwarding not working and you receive the error '414 Request-URI Too Large'.

7. Support Tickets

In case you still have any other issues, you can also send us an email to '[email protected]'.
Or submit a ticket online via http://support.freeparking.co.uk/

Due to high support volumes during the past few days, there may be a delay in responding to your requests. Please bear with us while we try to tackle all underlying issues and get back to you with an update. Your patience and co-operation is really appreciated.

We understand that your issues are urgent and we assure you that the support team are doing their very best to respond to your tickets as quickly as possible. However, if there is a delay in us responding, we ask you NOT to raise multiple tickets as this will end up pushing your older ticket down the queue.
All tickets will be answered.

Thanks again for your patience and your continued support.

Regards,

Freeparking Support
